VOCAL TRAINING

The main goal in my lessons is that students are able to practise their singing in the correct manner, on their own at home. Also my aim is to enable them to sing in a healthy, confident and happy way.


Singing training needs to be done regularly and carefully, so that our muscles will remember everything. Your listening skills will be tested and your musical ear will be scrutinised.  

 

Breathing is paramount!

At the beginning, my lessons focus on building a solid foundation in techniques. Vocal and breathing exercises will be learned, so that they are remembered throughout your singing life and a healthy vocal technique will then be achieved. 

 

To help you understand your voice, body and self awareness, I will keep asking about your feelings to lead you to understand how to utilise your body and get to know and listen to your own voice, eventually leading to more self confidence.


The focus within the lessons is to develop a strong relationship with the voice and body, understanding the impact of tension, posture and stress on both.

 

I'm very passionate about my musical expertise and in turn love to expand the knowledge and abilities of all my students whichever instrument they choose,  allowing them to build confidence in skills that they can also apply to other areas of their lives.

 

Above all, my upbeat teaching style places equal emphasis on the enjoyment of singing as well as technical work, so my lessons are suited to those who like a giggle with their learning.
